Briefly, I have an M.D. degree with specialty training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (Syria, 1999) and audiology-vestibular Medicine. Between 2010 and 2016, I earned the Au.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the USA through Nova Southeastern University and the University of Florida. During the Ph.D. program, I had received several outstanding certificates, including the Dean's Scholar Award of Public Health & Health Professions College in Recognition of Graduate Scholarly Achievement and Professional Promise. Post-PhD, I awarded the Crawford Research Fellow in Otolaryngology at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology/Audiology Division at the Mayo Clinic, Florida, which was lasting for four years. During those years, I worked with the Division of Vascular Surgery, Division of Health Care Policy and Research, and Psychiatric Department and a group of researchers at the Mayo Clinic, MN. I am currently an assistant professor at the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University. I involved in several international collaborations and have contributed to many academic journals, including the International Journal of Audiology, Ear and Hearing, Age and Aging, Journal of the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology, and Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine.
