Abstract

Background: Gender differentiation is a matter that has been discussed and studied since decays, specifically educational sector has risen and shown a contribution to more researchers toward it since the chosen leaders will be raising the future generations. Leadership in the Educational sector has been continuously examined for utilization and efficacy, especially with the global changes concerns. Aim: the purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the masculinity and femininity index on effective leadership in an educational institution in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Research framework: a conceptual model has been selected from published research; both hypotheses show direct relations between dependent and independent variables. Methods: The methodology for this study was a mixture of qualitative methods in terms of applying Hofstede national culture index comparison and quantitative methods in terms of questionnaires to collect data. Results: results indicated the importance of having a leader with a combination of both male and female characteristics, to keep the workplace environment balanced and effective to work in. Conclusion: Reaching effective leadership and applying the transformational leadership style is the most demanded in any leadership position in any field. Recommendations: respectful, positive, and appreciative to achieve the objectives and be successful.
